Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan Sign MoU on Combating Corruption

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, through the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), has signed two memoranda of understanding with the Republic of Uzbekistan, represented by the Prosecutor General's Office and the Anti-Corruption Agency in Tashkent, aimed at preventing and combating corruption while fostering joint cooperation. The signing ceremony was attended by Nazaha President Mazin Al-Kahmous, Uzbek Prosecutor General Nigmatulla Yuldashev, Anti-Corruption Agency Director of Uzbekistan Akmal Burkhanov, and Saudi Ambassador to Uzbekistan Saleh Algahrah. The two memoranda of understanding seek to enhance cooperation in addressing cross-border corruption crimes, facilitate the exchange of information on such crimes, and strengthen the institutional capabilities of the involved parties. During the visit, the officials engaged in discussions regarding efforts between the two countries to safeguard integrity and address corruption. The two sides also reviewed Nazaha's key initiatives on integrity protection, the enhancement of transparency principles, and the fight against corruption, as well as the Republic of Uzbekistan's experiences in this field.
