H.E the President of the Control and Anti-Corruption Authority, Mr. Mazen bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous, valued the approval of the Council of Ministers during its session today, Tuesday, 30th June 2020, on the guiding model for the Memorandum of Understanding between the Control and Anti-Corruption Authority in the Kingdom and its counterparts in other countries, in the field of preventing and fighting corruption, and discussing with the concerned authorities in other countries regarding the fore mentioned draft memorandum of understanding.
Al-Kahmous pointed out that the Cabinet's approval of the guiding model of the Memorandum of Understanding is an extension of the wise leadership's desire - may Allah protect them - to fight corruption, in all its forms and manifestations, and to benefit from global best practices and exchange experiences in the field of protecting integrity, enhancing the principle of transparency, and fighting corruption.
H.E assured that the wise leadership -may Allah protect them- is striving on with determination to fight corruption and intolerance with the corrupt and protect public funds, in line with the Kingdom's vision 2030, which made transparency, integrity and anti-corruption one of its main foundations.
At the end of his statement, H.E thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, and HRH the Crown Prince -may Allah protect them- for the support that the Authority receives which had a great impact in enhancing its work, and on its jurisdiction exercising, and achieving the goals for which it was established, towards fighting corruption, maintaining public money, and hold those negligent accountable , asking Allah to perpetuate this country's security and stability in light of our wise leadership's directions.
The draft of this memo comes within the framework of implementing the contents of the national strategy for Maintaining Integrity and Combating corruption to contribute to the efforts made to strengthen, develop and document regional, Arab and international cooperation in the field of protecting integrity and, and the organization of the Authority, which includes cooperation with regional and international entities and organizations working in this field.
