The Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority initiated a criminal case The Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority stated that two employees were arrested: 1- 6th grade employee at the General Court in Jeddah: Ayman Abdulrazaq Mohammed Salwati. 2- 9th grade employee (Manager of the Office of the President of the General Court in Jeddah): Ali Mohammed Ahmed Aldougi. For being caught in the act of receiving 250,000 SR out of a promised 500,000 SR as a bribe from a citizen, in exchange for illegally bringing the case before the Court of Appeal and seeking an overturn of the ruling in an existing case between him and one of the companies in Jeddah Governorate, which stated that he be fined 7,317,000 SR; while the second received 125,000 SR which represents his share of the bribe, in exchange for his role in the case. Nazaha affirms on the continuation to pursue anyone who exploits the public office to achieve personal gain or harm public interest in any way, and that the accountability extends far beyond the retirement of individuals, as these types of crimes have no statute of limitations. The Authority will continue to apply the law, with zero-tolerance against corruption.
