The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Participates in the 12th Meeting of the Anti-Corruption Ministerial Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council States in the Kingdom of Bahrain
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia participated with a delegation headed by H.E. Mr. Mazin bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous, President of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, in the 12th Meeting of the Anti-Corruption Ministerial Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council States, held today, Tuesday, September 29, 2026, in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
H.E. delivered the Kingdom’s statement, expressing his thanks and appreciation to the presidency, represented by the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Bahrain, for its valued efforts during the current session, as well as for the generous hospitality and excellent organization. He also expressed his appreciation to the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council for its distinguished efforts, which contributed to the success of the committee’s work this year.
Al-Kahmous also expressed his appreciation for the efforts made by the GCC States and the General Secretariat, and for their contributions to achieving the outcomes of the current session and supporting the work of the committee.
He expressed his hope that the meeting would achieve its objectives in line with the aspirations of the leaders of the GCC States, may Allah protect them, to strengthen coordination and integration in combating corruption in all its forms and methods, contribute to promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability, and support ongoing international efforts to combat corruption.
Al-Kahmous called on the anti-corruption law enforcement authorities in the GCC States to complete their internal procedures for signing and ratifying the Makkah Convention, and to sign the Agreement for the Exchange of Information between Members of the GlobE Network. He also welcomed the heads of anti-corruption law enforcement authorities in the GCC States to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia during its presidency of the next session, God willing.
In closing, he congratulated the winners of the second GCC competition for research and studies in the fields of protecting integrity and combating corruption, expressing his sincere thanks and appreciation to the judges from the GCC States and the General Secretariat for their valuable efforts in the competition.
The Kingdom’s participation in this meeting comes in support of cooperation and the exchange of information and expertise among GCC States in promoting integrity and combating corruption. It is also in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which has made governance, transparency, accountability, and combating corruption among its key pillars.
It is worth noting that the agenda covered several topics related to strengthening cooperation and partnership between anti-corruption authorities in the GCC States, along with a number of related recommendations and outcomes.
