Saudi Arabia represented by the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, and the Republic of Azerbaijan, represented by the Public Prosecution Office, signed, on 20 November 2023, a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of combating corruption and enhancing mutual cooperation. Saudi Arabia's delegation was headed by H.E. President of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, Mr. Mazen bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous, and the Azerbaijanian side was represented by Prosecutor General Dr. Kamran Aliyev, in the presence of the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Azerbaijan, Mr. Essam bin Saleh Al-Jteely. The Memorandum of Understanding covered several topics, including enhancing cooperation in the field of combating cross-border corruption crimes, exchanging information, and strengthening the institutional capacity of both sides. On the sidelines of the signing, H.E. President of Nazaha met with the General Prosecutor of Azerbaijan, and discussed a number of topics of common interest. It is noteworthy that this visit comes in response to the invitation of the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan to the President of Nazaha.
