Under the patronage of HRH Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister -may Allah protect him-; H.E. President of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority Mr. Mazin bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous concluded the First ministerial Meeting of Anti-Corruption Law Enforcement Agencies in the Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), by the adoption of the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Convention, with the attendance of their excellencies heads and representatives of the anti-corruption law enforcement agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and heads of anti-corruption international organizations. The Chairman of the meeting, H.E. President of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, announced in today's session the final statement of the meeting by adopting the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Convention, which aims to strengthen cooperation between anti-corruption law enforcement agencies in an efficient and speedy manner. As well as encouraging joining the Riyadh Initiative Network (GlobE Network). The Makkah Convention provides a legal framework for direct and rapid exchange of information and investigations, and contributes to preventing corruption crimes and denying safe havens for the corrupt actors. Al-Kahmous extended his thanks to H.E. the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the General Secretariat and the Group of Governmental Experts for the tremendous efforts to arrange for this meeting, and to prepare for the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Convention, and to the heads of anti-corruption law enforcement agencies in the OIC member states, and related international organizations for attending and participating in the meeting which resulted in this great achievement. H.E. expressed, on behalf of himself and the Excellencies, much gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and to HRH Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister - may Allah protect them - on the occasion of the Kingdom's hosting of this crucial ministerial meeting, and the generous patronage by the Crown Prince.
